Tow Mirror Question

My tow mirrors won't retract. I thought every year, starting with the 99 M.Y., that came equiped with these, had the ability to manually extend and retract. Am I wrong? If not, what can cause this to happen. Other than catching lots of wind, everything else works as advertised.

are you talking about the EXTENSION or the folding IN/break away ?

the 99's did NOT have the extendable tow mirrors...they were fixed.
i think the 00 or 01 was the beginning of the extension.

in 04 they got park/turn led's (and heat)

Extend/Retract. They fold up just fine.

Early 99: Folding, fixed length, no heat or lights, paint that flakes off.

I just put some '08 mirrors on my '01. Picked them up on ebay. I had the small electric mirrors that came stock. They are manual extend/retract. What a huge difference when I'm towing now. I didn't mind giving up the electric functions. I like them even better than the '07's and back mirrors.
