Trans fluid? yeah it smells but not that bad. Now BURT trans fluid, thats a different story. Then you have burt diff fluid.

Thats what I'm running, Bush. PML coated. Extra 5 quarts. Well built and reasonable price. Good luck with the temp. switch. BTW, that fluid has a smell you won't forget.

nah im fine, autometer gauge on the a-pillar hasnt cracked the 180
mark (even towing) since ive owned the truck...im due for the tranny
by-pass filter replacment though.

ive checked my fluid level & color...didnt need to smell it since its
never gotten hot....ive only got 20k miles on this fluid.

I havent done anything but pull the codes...wondering if anyone has

Wonder if you don't have a loose wiring harness, and the system burped on that?

i can pretty much get it to do it on now...above about 60mph or w/
a loaded throttle its fine, but light cruising between 45-55 you can
count on it flashing the tow/haul light and you can feel the converter
trying to figure out if it should be locked or not

i can flip the fast idle (pto) on and watch the tow/haul light flash too,
in this mode the pto/fast idle locks the converter...
