My 08 F250 stops pulling at 97MPH........but it gets there quick. It is quicker from 60 to 90 than it is from 30 to 60. I wonder just how fast it would run if the limiter was removed and everything else was the same.

on older models with 6.0 (mine is an 05) the limiter could be bypassed by holding the key in the start position. cuts out all but the tach and gives it a kick in the pants for as long as you hold the key!!! the starter will not engage with the truck running. this will set a code saying overspeed condition.

dunno if it works on the 6.4 or not.

with superchip tuner banks intercooler and exhaust, my gps clocked my top speed at 201 km/hr which I belive is roughly 120 mph. (had a race with an Audi i was trying to pass on the highway) i won

Years ago over on TDS, I got into a pissin match with some idiot who was saying that trick would work with a 7.3.

I told him it was stupid to try something like that at 90+ something MPH and he got all "irritated" with me.

I asked him what did he say just before trying that? "Hold my beer and watch this??" He didn't say much after that.

well hey the guy asked how to go faster, not how to do it smartly.

it does work ,and i never said it was smrt smart

however, in a sticky situation where perhaps you pull out to pass and find that when you get beside the semi you are passing there is another one right in front , it will provide you enough of a boost to get by or wreck in spectacular fashion!!!

better to burn out and be remembered than fade away and be immediately forgotten!!!
