4 low is a pain in the butt. it helps if yer rollin just a little bit to get it to go in. What i find is easiest is to be rollin about 10 mph then put in neutral and flip to low. ESOF is the knob on the dash, manual is a stick on the floor that says 4 hi, 2wd, neutral, and 4 low.

10mph is a little fast, i'd stick with less than 5, probably around 2-3 (ie just barely rolling)

yes, you can delete the vacuum lines if you get plain manual hubs.

thanks
I thought that 4 wheel drive would be harder to fix than installing $180 in parts, but I guess it's not.:D

Manual Hubs are definitely alot better as was said before never trust auto locking hubs get out and turn them yourself however dont leave them in the locked position too long ie months, or can cause premature wear on U-Joints, ESOF is Electronic Shift On the Fly, idk much about F-250s for superduties but id trust my life to my C6 NP205 Dana 33 and Ford 9 inch in my bronco that was all manual and youd know when u were in 4WD as soon as you went to turn....lol...havent taken my 250 muddin yet but like was said b4 that big engine weighs the front end down so unless you have a big lift and wide tires plan on being prepared to back off the go petal b4 ur Front axle is resting on the ground makes recovery a little harder...lol
