took a 3 week mini vacation to southern tejas

We based out of columbus texas
at a rv park that shall remain nameless...thousand trails colorado river
visited la grange (good kolaches and wow super great chicken fried steak)
brenham to see the blue bell creamery
burton to see a national treasure an cotton gin with the oldest recorded BIG ARSE twin piston engine
to schulenbuerg to see the painted churches built in 1870-1910
the insides were painted to reflect the catholic, lutheran and methodist of the times
then off to shiner texas to pay homeage to BEER, shiner to be exact oh yeah

and did i mention...my gas powered f150 left us needing a tow
the fuel vapor valve jammed and it she simply flooded to the point that raw fuel poured out the tailpipe
but ford came and got us and fixed us right up
got to love roadside assistance

yes the deer has a collar on...she was very friendly and was eating the plants in front of the church

she had a damaged eye and seemed to be a pet of the church grounds, real friendly and even licked my hand...funny thing is the big dog that was walking around with her, didnt want anything to do with us, he just made noise and walked off
