Tire Tread Question

You should have less weight on the rear axle unless you are hauling or towing. If you put the good tires on the back they will wear a lot slower than the fronts. The front tires have more weight on them and wear faster because of that and the different camber angles when you turn. Better tread up front is my .02.

If you rotate like the tire manufactures want you too the tread should be the same. If you never rotate like me the front tires will be the good ones due to excessive wear from excessive show of horsepower from time to time. If you have a dog that doesn't ever slip the rear tires then the front ones will wear a little quicker. If I was installing a set of used tires I would put the deeper treaded ones on the rear as they would catch up with the front ones in short time where if I put the good ones up front then the rears would be wore out long before the front ones. If any of them don't have enough tread to be safe on the front then I would haul them to the dump..
