Hey Folks ,
I was wondering if I would move up to 18 " tires instead of the stock 265/16
would I be getting better fuel mileage ? Will I have to have the tranny reprogrammed ? Or if I order a SCT tuner can I do it myself ? Use my winter tires 245/16 in the winter , an switch back to the 18's in the summer. The reason for the 16's in the winter is they are still quite new .
Thanks for any comments.

Your final drive is determined by the outside dimmension of the tire, not the 16 or 18" rim. So look at, or actually measure the outside perimeter of the tires. If the size is bigger on the 18's you may gain some mileage. (but the #'s may be so small you wouldn't notice) If you already have the 18's and tires then I would say go for it and see if you make any measurable gains. If you plan on buying a set of 18's & tires you will take 150-200K miles to recoupe your costs.
