my 97 will be needing tires in the future and I want as big a tire as I can fit with out rubbing being an issue. I was planning on putting on a leveling kit eventually. will the leveling kit produce enough lift for a 315 or maybe a 305? thanks for the input

I've got 35's with an add a leaf and re-arch in the front I think thats the same as 315's I've rubbed the chrome on the under side of the fender once or twice. I would think stock suspension 305's would be max. I'm sure some one with more expertise than me will chime in.

I've got 285 BFG's on mine and they hit the bumper. I had to space it about 4-6 washers I think.

Edit-
F250's have the Dana 50 and F350's have the Dana 60 front ends. The 285's may not hit with a Dana 60.

I'm running 305 with recurved (new ) plus the add a leaf. Previous owner put them on, & also trimmed the front bumper a bit
.They rub on the springs it tight turns

By shimming the front bumper out and adding a leveling kit (add-a-leaf) you can fit the 315's. The 305's will fit by just shimming the bumper out a bit.

where can I get shims for the bumper? are they the same kind of shims you use to mount fenders?
edit: and how many shims do I need for each side?

I used washers and longer bolts. Seems like I put about 1/2" or so on each side. Take a look under there and it will be obvious what you need to do.
