I have mine legal for this state and I am fine with that. Keeps the truck cooler on these 100+ days. You truck looks real good Mike.

What is the leag limit in the big TX wanting to go darker on mine.

I believe the legal limit in TX is 35% on the front doors(might be 30%), and on a pickup you can go as dark as you want in the rear glass, and rear side windows.

Well,

They change the law to TOTAL tint and not TINT FILM law.

So the overall or NET is 25%

Last time the DPS officer did the check on mine it was 8%

For the front windows it's 25% combined. Factory tinted glass + 35% Window film is around 28%-32% total VLT depending on the make/model of the vehicle for each manufacturers specs for their glass differs.

Anything above 25% total VLT in Texas is good to go

You must have had 20% film applied to get 8% I got stopped back in 91 driving through the Sierra Nevadas with 20% installed on one of the Mustangs

Actually I think the tint laws should be lowered more in Texas, but I understand the reason for them also
