When In Doubt,THROTTLE ON
I have had a clunk in steering since truck had 20k on it. Couldn't find anything that looked real loose. Waited till it had 70k then replaced right side tie rod end that had a connection like a heim joint on it too for the drag link bar. Got a Moog from rockauto. Was cheapest for a quality part. Still clunked. Replaced shocks at 75k with Bilsteins. Clunk went away. Still have original ball joints that I drilled out and put grease zerks in. Bought new Moogs sitting on bench waiting because I was going to try them after tie rod end didn't cure problem.
