I have a 2006 6.0 F350 dually Lariat crew cab that I'm pulling my 5th wheel with. 108,000 on it have done oil changes, cooling system, no issues, doing transmission service at ford dealer this week. rear pumpkin next month,DID a Blackstone oil sample said it's looking good and wearing in nicely. oasis shows a airbag light repair thats all. Since I purchased at just under 100K I got the extended engine repair until 200K or three more years. Never pukes, or overheats had long roadtrip from Michigan to texas (104 outside) and back towing the 5ver and averaged 12.4 mpg. Get 17-18 unloaded sound about right.:stir

Sounds like a solid truck, Fuel mileage is right where it should be - I wouldn't worry about it at all. They are built to be used like that. 6.0's are a great motor ;tu. Bad stories get more press than good ones, Ford sold millions of these trucks in which 80% were equipped with the powerstroke option. I know around here i see more 6.0's than any other truck

Hang on to that truck, and don't let youe dealer reflash it. Your MPG is not good, it's great. Does it have 4.10 or 3.73 gears?

good truck

Thats what my dealer said don't mess with pcm flashes if you don't have problems. They have a master diesel guy who does all the cab off stuff and people come from miles around to get powerstrokes worked on there. I looked at a new one with the scorpion and it was 62K. Who can buy thats about 5 replacement engines and you still have DPF and Urea to take care of. you just get gun shy sometimes.:stir

Thanks guys

Not sure of the rear end ratio but it is time to go camping. De-winterized yesterday.

There is a code for the axle on the drivers door post. Give us that code and we can tell you the ratio.

The Code is GVWr 13,000
WB 172
AX 4N

Figured it out
4N = 4.10 limited slip

Is there anyway to determine if it has a Tune or, Studs, EGR delete on it? The reason I ask is I paid for the 200K warranty. But if it's been modded I might as well get my $$$ back. THe dealer says the best way to find out is to hook up to computer and check it out and do all updates. Since I bought it at 94K I have no idea what was done. Although nothing at all in Oasis or service work listed and 94K in2 1/2 years sounds like it was working towing stuff. It doesn't use oil runs like a red headed step child. Advice please
