I have a 04 SD with a RBP programmer set at level 4 and smooth shift trans settings and a K&N FIPK. I had the programmer for about a year and have had the same set. Put the programmer on to see the codes and P0404 and P0603 ICM KAM (DL) came up. Should I clear the codes or does this require a trip to the dealer? The truck is running good but I am getting very close to the warranty expiring. What should I do?

The P0404 is Egr Gas Recirculation Circuit Range/Performance
The P0603 is Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory.

The KAM is somewhat obvious...just means there are codes stored
and pulled.

BOTH of these could be generated by your programer.
Pull the programer, clear the codes, run the truck & scan for
the codes again.

Put the truck back to stock and it added a P1000 code and the engine light turned off. I cleared the codes. What does the P1000 mean :dunno

you put it back to stock TUNE or you completely removed/disconnected

P1000 is OBD Systems Readiness Test Not Complete

i SUSPECT your tuner/programer is keeping the egr valve
closed.

And then your programer or tuner is causing either a reset of the
code or pulling of the codes caused the ICM KAM

you dont say if youre truck is a cal/carb model or not (where do you
live, where did the truck come from....a calif. based dealer?)

only the California based trucks will illuminate the "check engine light"
if theres an egr issue.

Yup its a Cali truck. Everything looks good and no more check engine light. Looks like its time for a new programmer.
