New TC? you mean torque converter? If you changed the torque converter did you inspect the flexplate? I had mine crack, lots of vibration and it was apparently like that for a while and I didnt notice since my tires are large and bouncy,.

Still have the problem with new tc, vb, fresh fluid/filter, fresh fuel filter and shimmed fpr, new u-joints, and no codes. Does it even when tranny fluid is cold in the morning. Does it mainly with the cruise control on around 70 and I begin to go up a hill, then as I almost crest the top of the hill. Maybe related, sometimes when it shift into OD, the rpm's will fall (like they should), then rise up a little bit (like they shouldn't...tranny programming or flare?), and then the tc locks up and immediately drops rpm's (as it should). I may be a little worried about that flareup. I notice it more in the morning, doesn't happen under WOT, and fluid does not smell burnt. Noticed a lot of shavings on the tranny magnet in the pan when I did the tranny work, but it also had 211k on it.
Thoughts?

This may sound Off The Wall but from what you describe... Have you thought about the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) ??

That little $25.00 part, sends ALOT of signals to ALOT of performance related things. In your case, Trans Commands.

For 25 Bucks ? It might be worth replaceing, in you Trouble Shooting efforts.

I replaced that when I first bought the truck. Talk to Jody and he said it could be a part of the SCMT tune. I'm going to take the programmer off and see if it does it. I've never driven the truck stock...this will be interesting.
