This is wierd.......

My cruise control is being shut off by my left turn signal ...... i was cruisin down th highway this weekend, signaled to merge and no more cruise, it will reset just fine and works fine with the right signal....... im stumped, i haven't had much time to look at anything yet

any help would be good

I think that I have read that if you have a brake light out this will happen. If I am wrong someone will correct me and point ya' in the right direction.

Yep as stated, check your brake lights, third brake light included. Change the bulb problem solved.

The brake lights typically do not allow you to even set the crusie control from what I've read. I'm strange and have only set my cruise 3 or 4 times since I've owned the truck.

If you've got a tilt wheel I'd bet you have a wire that is the insulation has gotten stripped on from moving the wheel. so when you move the blinker lever you're moving the wires causing it to ground out on the column which triggers the cruise to shut off.

I'll piggy back, do you have a "brake " light warning lamp illumination on the dash, or a turn signal "on" illumination on the dash but no out side turn signal light
My wifes contour, did the same thing,
the multi function swith had a loose brake light "sense" wire on the plastic block

im having same problem but with right blinker only, hopefully its a brake light.

I had same problem. Turn on right signal, cruise would shut off. Replaced bulb, corrected problem. The brake light was bad and kicking cruise off.

I do infact have a brake light out, the third brake light, i have not had a chance to change it yet.
