Third brake light on topper

Have had my topper for a little over a year now and tried to hook brake light up but it comes on with turn signals too. Lear 100R bought it used. Is there something missing?

how do you have it wired? from where are you picking up the brake light signal.

I tried from my 4 flat connector under bumper. I'm electrically challenged so be easy on me.

mine is tapped to the left side tail light. tied the brake light and then to the tail light for the topper cargo light.

if it was not raining, i would run out to the truck and check the colors for you. sorry i am being a wuss.

I've tried both side signals and still get flashing third brake when signal is on. Found a module for third brake light on a topper web site that has three terminals but had no models it was for.

On my 2000, there is a green wire taped to the trailer harness near the spare tire for a third brake light.
