Things that go BUMP on the road

I was doing som epost vacation under belly rv cleaning and noticed my RV spare tire cover was rashed a bit. So i dropped the tire and found the mount was bent as well.
Trying now to figure out where we went bump

Might be moving the rear hanging spare tire to a more proteced area?

Looks like you got real close to something on the road. Going up a driveway to get fuel or to take a break most likely. We do have to be careful pulling these long rigs, not hitting the top of the truck bed, or dragging the rear end.

At least you still have your spare!!

A couple of months back, somebody came into the RV store where I work, looking for a new wheel, tire AND bracket to replace the mangled remains of the old one.

They never heard a bump, thud or anything.
