Just did the door seal mod the other day and now im noticing a rattle from the rear passenger door. I've taken off the inside panel and im pretty sure its the latch. I can go outside and push on the door and it will move in a bit more. Is there a way to adjust the latch or get it to close completely? This rattle is really annoying and I wanna get it fixed!:rant

I think you can adjust the door strike post.......seems like it takes a torx's bit but don't quote me.

JR.. what material did you use to do the seal Mod ??

If you used the tubing.. give it some time to >FORM< to yer door jams. Tempratures are cooling off these days and that brand new tubing may be stiff.. With Time and Use it will form and mold it's self to the shape(s) of yer jambs.

Just a guess but I'd bet that one door is not shut tight (latched shut) because of the tighter seal.

Grab it with your hand and >shut it with a purpose< DON'T SLAM IT.

Thanks for the reply Joe. I did indeed use the clear plastic tubing. Theres no doubt it is shut tighter, but when I say i've tried to get that door shut tight...boy do i mean it. I've opened and closed and so on too many times to count. No matter how hard I slam it, I can still push on it from the outside and it will give. Would it be worth trying to adjust things? Could that latch be hanging up somehow?

I can push mine a bit too but no rattles. Try rapping some tape arond the latch loop thingy.. if that does the trick then adjust the door latch assembly, like "T" said :dunno

I never thought of doing the tape!!! I'll give it a go today and see what happens.

Thanks!

Ya know.....I did this mod and after about 3 months, I yanked the tubing back out. I would rather deal with a little wind noise than haveing to slam my doors shut all the time. Not only that....but I got tired of telling people "your doors not shut" all the time.
