I WISH it was a gas motor... I could've knocked that out in an afternoon... but NNNNNnnnnOoooooooooooo.... this thing is a 6.5 turbo...
broken a head bolt on the left side... tore a chunk out of the gasket big enough to pass the alignment dowel through. Snap-On PWZ pipe-wrench pliers to remove the head bolt (thankfully)... was not looking forward to pulling the block, beacuse then it would have been "...screw it, we're just putting in a crate motor..."
got it back together, wouldn't crank - starter took a crap...
put a starter on it... found a fuel leak from an injector line...
tore the intake off it again, fixed the fuel leak... then didn't have any clutch pedal...
put a clutch slave on it... drove it down the road... fuel filter is clogged with water and crap... put a fuel filter on it...
now it sets a code for the optical sensor in the injection pump... I'm tempted to do the "Army mod" to the injector pump...
what did I get paid for this job? not one red cent...
bought the parts out of my own pocket...
trading the job for a hitch wagon for the horses...
I'm figuring about $2,800. for a hitch wagon I could have picked up on Tack Trader for about $2,000...
