Well a yellow cab did not stop and hit my truck today. It was everything I could do not to go punch his light out. So far the damage is a right rear rim and a tire. I'm going to have the rear axle checked tomorrow to see if there any damage. Truck seems to drive ok but you never know. I think the cab company will be buying me all new rims and a tire. I have not been able to find a matching rim in my size in over two years. But I'm good and not hurt. But pissed off. I tore off his front left finder, bumper, and there was other thing laying in the road. I will post pic's tomorrow.

Sounds like a case of whiplash to me:rolleyes: glad everyone is ok

Most time I see one of our trucks in a wreck with another vehicle, the other vehicle gets fubar'ed

Back In The Day.. Got rear ended by a Honda Civic. Bent the bumper, broke the Receiver hitch cap thingy, on my 91 DRW= Drove away, less than $200.00 to fix like new.

Smashed the hood down.. pushing the radiator into the engine and basically tore the front end off the Honda= Hauled off, TOTALLED.

Wouldn't be suprized the Yellow Cab/Van gets Totalled too ??

Glad yer okay Dogman ;tu;tu

Me and my dad were on our way back to Alabama from NC in the 96 250...old folks in front of us decided they wanted to turn into the fruit stand at the last minute. My dad slammed the brakes and the eclipse behind us rear ended us. Put a smuge on our bumper and pushed their hood halfway in....bumper and fibergalls all over the road. Guess thats how tough "Ford Tough" is:D

2 things //is that a 16.5? and get a disclaimer or some guarantee on that axle .. a physical inspection may not catch a little chip or what have you and an axle failure is a big ticket item

Yes it is, and I'm in the tear down inspection on it now. So far so good but I should put in some new wheel bearing.

Well, I get to get new rims and tires....The rim is a total, Not fixable. The bend goes to far into the spine of the rim and would not be safe if it was fixed. There is a shop here in town that make rims and fixes them. This is a cool shop. The way they fix them is cool too.

What rims would you guy sagest. I going to run 16".
I looked at 17" and for the same tire it was 75 bucks more per tire then the 16". I'm also going to drop from a 35" tire to a 33" tire. For towing the 5ther and get closer to the power ban of the motor.
