The Great Race............

On the way home from the Ranch today we stopped at the Pilot for fuel. While we were there the contestants of the Great Race pulled in on their treak west.

I got a few pics of some of the cars.

The Peterbuilt vehicle had a tank engine in it...........
Feed by six(6) four barrel carbs this monster produced 1200hp and gets a whopping 2MPG!!!

With its 100 gal tank it has a range of 200 miles...............they figure on burning $10,000.00 in fuel over the course of the race.

great pics T! they would have gotten better mileage if they used the diesel out of the Pete. even if it was only 4mpg, it would have doubled their range.
