Desided to not do a Road Trip this year.
Wife needed that Grand Kid fix however.
"Orbit"-ized a RT flight from Fresno, Ca. to Albany, NY., via Los Vegas and Chicago. Here's how it went:
1. Left Fresno @ 6:30 PM, PDT on 6/21
2. Arrived Vegas @ 7:50, PDT.
3. Flight to Chicago cancelled.
4. Shuttled the folks to a Hotel, on their Dime.
5. Major hotel power outage. Shuttled the folks back to the Airport. (took 2 hours to round up another shuttle bus) She slept (some) in the Airport departure lounge.
6. Left Vegas @ 7:?? AM, 6/22, for (now) D.C.
7. Arrived D,C @ 12:??. Waited 45 min. on the ramp for Gate space.
8. Left D.C. @ 5:?? EDT for Albany. Waited 1 hour, on the ramp, for Takeoff.
9. Arrived Albany @ 7:??. Vectored to Orbit for 30 min. due to air traffic, prior to landing. Waited 30 min. for Gate space.
10. Waited 1.? hours in the Renta Car line. Then, Problems with enough cars. They fixed it.
The Lady arrived @ our Daughters house @ 11:?? PM, 6/22..29 hours (travel time, I think ?
) after she left.
