Not old, just old fashioned!!!! Mustangs are nice, just hard to crawl into and out of.
Yep, bad back? My old man can't get in and out of one anymore cause of that.

It's fixed!!! Seems the Five Hundred had an air conditioner wire that rubbed something under the hood, causing a coil to short out. The wire was fixed, and the coil was replaced and it's running "like new" again.

I've never liked cars that were difficult to get in and out of, and I'm not a tall person (5'10). That's another reason I like a Crown Vic (and the Five Hundred), adn I don't have a bad back. I just hate to have to do any excessive bending and stooping to get into one. There are some vehicles that you have to "fall into and climb out of" and others (like most trucks) that you have to "climb into and fall out of". I'd rather be in the latter category.

I'm almost into the "Climb into and fall out of" and I know what your talking about in the "Fall into and climb out of". I don't exactly fit too well into my moms car, but chicks dig it.

a chaffed wire, imagine that ??? its the contour disease all over again
Cars have had this problem before. In 1986 I worked at the dealership, where I by all my vehicles, as a salesman. We had a guy test driving a new Crown Victoria Wagon (the CV wagon was discontinued the next year) and the car died about a half mile down the road from the dealership. Had it towed in, and a wire that was part of the electric fuel pump had rubbed the frame and shorted out. They fixed it, and I still made the sale. So I guess it can happen to any of them. Wife's glad it's running better now. I also had the fuel filter replaced (8,000 miles early) just to be sure the fuel wasn't getting the lines clogged.

I remember those days (when the chicks dig the car). That's a pretty car. If I were young again and could afford it, I'd like one just like it except Bright Red. My wife's office is next door to a Lexus dealership, so I get to see some pretty ones all the time.

Quoting a country song by Joe Diffie: "There's something women like about a pickup man." You also probably saw him doing this on a recent Applebee's commercial regarding the pickup window at Applebee's.
