I'm waiting for my oil test results to see if I have a possible leaky injector. Last time I checked oil level, it looked as if it had increased. Coolant level is fine, and no noticable "milky sludge" in my test sample. I haven't done a full oil drain, yet.
Is there a way to locate a faulty injector? Does Ford's computer hook up provide injector diagnostics? I'm not looking forward to disconnecting my Banks box just to hook into my dealer's diagnostics computer.
Thoughts? :thanks

Yes the injectors are diagnosed in- engine with the diagnostic tool. Just be sure you got a tech that knows how to use it...;tu

Don't let it go too long either, an injector leaking enough fuel to cause noticeable dilution can cause serious damage in a hurry...

given enough time diluted oil <from leaking fuel> will rob the oil of its
all important lubricating properties.

GMC had a problem w/ the 1st model year duramax's....injectors and
injection pumps leaking...some spun bearings and trashed their
cranks.

injections tests are done w/ diagnostic software, as roy says, in the engine...
an injection buzz test is the starting point.

yeah I'm probably staring down the barrel of that myself... consistently showing 2-3% fuel no matter what I do driving...

No... once in a blue moon It might sit, but for the rest of the time, I'm running it pretty hard.
