Anybody know if the high pressure oil rails have any rubber orings in them? Other than the ones on the plugs that can be removed. I 'cleaned' mine out, and now there seems (to me) to be too much play between the rails and the fittings (nipples if you will) that go into the injectors. Anybody know if that might be normal?

Thanks for any help.

The only two o-rings that I can see on my Ford Service DVD are the ones on the pipe that goes from the pump to the block. It does not mention gallery o-rings. :(

The DVD does state th be careful in removing or installing injectors because there is a D shaped o-ring that is NOT User replaceable. A new injector must be installed if it is damaged. There are two o-rings that go on the injector that ARE user serviceable and need to be replaced when the injector is replaced or serviced.

The dummy plug that is either a 1/2 or 12 mm has 2 o-rings on it that fail often on the rail.i replace them every time i do a injector repair.
