Question Swap a 7.3 into newer truck

Has anyone ever heard of someone swapping a 7.3 into a 6.0 truck?

I've heard of it. One guy recently blew up his 6.0 and is swapping in a 7.3 from a totaled truck. Its a PITA, mostly due to the electronics.

I seen Cummins motors put in ford trucks.

If you are going to all of that trouble to sway a 7.3 into the truck, why not go with a Cummins? It is a big job anyway.

IIRC Double Overtime was a 05 converted to 7.3 but there's not much stock about that truck or engine. Your basically going to need to find a complete truck so you can swap the engine, trans and all electronics.

I would love too find a 2013 model truck with a blown motor, and drop a 7.3 in it. I love the body style just not the motor.

I would toss another 6 oh back in. with some stuff to make it better.

Replacing a later engine with a 7.3 would like dropping an IDI in place of the 7.3.
