My truck sometimes lunges or surges in top gear. It happens when I try to increase my cruising speed lightly by five miles an hour or so. It does seem to matter if I am empty or loaded down with a 38 gooseneck, stock or programed up. Two different dealerships have wasted lots of fuel trying to duplicate the problem, with no luck. I think it is either the transmission or torque convertor, THOUGHTS?

What do you drive? Fill out your signature by going the the USER CP, in the blue line above. Sounds like an EGR problem to me.

If you have a tuner does it have a record on it.
If so record the incident.
I had an engine problem that was difficult to cause to happen, so I recorded the strip, sat in the vehicle with the mechanic and he looked at it, Bobs your Uncle he could diagnose the problem. I will add the mechanic was skeptical and took some persuading but once I got him in the truck the job was done.
Hope this is useful.

surging response

I hope the information in the signature helps. I am not sure if the SCT unit has a memory. I haven't had it very long. Any other help is appreciated.
