There is a check box next to your log in where it says "Remember Me". Checking that will keep you logged in indefinitely or until you log out manually by clicking the "Log Off" link. So you can create huge posts and never worry about getting kicked off because of it.

Do you own a tahoe then too?

Hahaha... that's funny! Don't tempt me. i'll bog down your server and you'll wish you never sent me that email. I'll bet I already have a long ones in my older user history.

Nope. A 2500 GMC. But the kids (and adults) with the Tahoes know how to do certain things that I want to do, and for my vintage vehicle, the GM body, interior, and electrical system share many of the same components.

the names I recall very well from my earlier participation on this site include WD40 (Doug), DaveBen, Big Joe, Powerboatr, and Royboy. Lo and behold, I see that these guys are still keeping the torch lit over here. I hope these loyal members get the prizes,

You'd think at least we'd get some of our trucks in the webpage headers :violin :lmao

The prizes are real. They will cost me a pretty penny, but to me its worth it if this contest brings back the activity that SDD had. I could have gone and spent the same amount of money on advertising the forum, but thats always a hit and miss.

When I first read this, I thought you were a fellow enthusiast who just bought this website all by your lonesome, and you were taking a wild leap of faith with an out of the box idea by buying prizes out of your pocket, to bring this website back to life.

Then yesterday I received this email, concerning the Super Duty Diesel website, but sent from "admin@fullydriven"

"We just wanted to remind you that the SuperDutyDiesel giveaway is still going... We just got done last month with this same giveaway on a sister site of ours..."

So I wondered who "Fullydriven" was. I had heard of them before. Heck, I've even received emails from them before. Turns out, Fullydriven has the following websites in their fold:

•AllOHV.com
•CadillacCorner.com
•CamaroTrax.com
•ChallengerForum.com
•ChevyCobaltForum.com
•ChevyEquinoxForum.com
•CruzeForumz.com
•EnclaveForum.com
•ExpeditionForum.com
•FordFullsize.com
•FordFaptorForum.com
•FT86forum.com
•GMfullsize.com
•GMsquarebody.com
•GMT400.com
•HyundaiVeloster.com
•JeepKJ.com
•JeepMilitia.com
•LandRoverForum.com
•LandRoverWorld.org
•LXowners.com
•RamForum.com
•RX7forums.com
•ScionXBForum.com
•ScionXDForum.com
•SRTConnection.com
•TahoeForum.com
•TahoeYukonForum.com
•TitanOwners.com
•ToyotaFJCruiserForum.com
•TRDforum.com
•VTCOA.com

This contest is another hit and miss, but it seems to be working so far.

I wondered how you would know whether or not the contest seemed to be working... only a few days into it. But now that I know how many other "sister" websites Fullydriven has, where the same contest was deployed, it becomes apparent that the basis of experience extends far beyond SDD.

I think alot of the reasons that many people left was when the forum skin(look) was changed to a very dark color and it was very hard on the eyes and to read. I love the dark look, but even for me the SDD skin was hard to view. I believe it was because of the blue text that went with the black background.

No wonder you asked me to identify the specific websites that I said I didn't like to visit, in large part because they were dark. I thought that was an odd question. Why would you care, I thought. However, you knew (and I didn't know) that there was a high probability that your organization ran those sites as well. And you were right. Fullydriven runs two out of the three I identified, along with several other websites that I have visited from time to time. And now this website as well.
