i guess so, but then, it would stilll be hard for me to fork over that kinda money.

not really.if the bug bit you it would happen even faster.its just like modding your truck.its the little things that add up.the most expensive part is buying the truck, upgradeing the radio and upgradeing the engine.ive got one monster truck with about 4500 into it(i didnt want to say this in public) i havent used it in 3 years but keep dumping money into it.

I have a Duratrax Firehammer that is 1/5 scale and runs on weedeater fuel:thumbs ....with some moddest upgrades, I have close to 2000 in it and it is so much more fun(to me) than nitros or electrics(I have owned many)!!
might be parting with it soon though for another project:(

Rich is not alone. I sold my complete racing 1/10 scale electric pan car (on road nascar) setup last year on ebay for $275 ish I think, I had $2500-3000 in with all the motors and tires, batteries, extra parts, chargers etc. The car would do 35-40 mph in stock class trim and 70-80mph in modified class trim for 5 minute timed races. The car got so modified with titanium and magnesium and hand fabricated parts that it couldn't even be risked on the street for fun anymore. All the paved oval tracks around here closed or changed to dirt only and the entire setup became obsolete. Which was fine with me because to go to a race weekend and just maintain the car was around $150-200. I would love to get another one for fun but the photo of the superduty in the link wouldn't last one charge of the batteries with me driving it.
