Superchips 1704 receipt

You have probably heard this sad song before, but here it goes anyway...

I have a Superchips 1704 tuner. I used it to reprogram my truck ('04 w/6.0) to stock before taking the truck to my local Ford dealer for service. They apparently flashed the truck. Now when I try to program the truck again, I get an error that says the "programmer needs an update".

I called Superchips. They said that they would be glad to take care of this, if I could simply send the tuner w/PURCHASE RECEIPT!!! I completely understand why they would have this requirement...but I have no idea where my receipt is. I am sure it is LONG GONE!!!

I am sure that an update would cost money ($100) without a receipt. Does anyone have any solutions for this!?! I can afford it, but I would HATE to cough up the cash for this....

If you used a credit card call the company and they can look it up.

It took some doing, but today I got Superchips to commit to update my tuner based on an invoice from my dealer stating that they had flashed the ECU.

I sent it in today, so this should be resolved.

After re-reading my original post on this, my problem description sounded pretty vague IMO. I was curious to know if anyone had run into the same problem, and how that issue was resolved. Or...if anyone could send me a copy of their receipt! Haha...

Anyway, crisis averted...for now at least! No need to respond, unless you just can't stop yourself!
