Truck just died while driving, I mashed the pedal and it sounded like somebody jammed a bannana in the tail pipe then it died and now it won't start! cranks over fine but thats all...replaced fuel pump & cps,checked fuses,,W.T.F????

you checked your fuses right? the ones under the dash and under the hood?
did you check your oil level?

We REALLY need more info 'bout yer 7.3 but, a place to start ?... Check Maxi fuse #22, under the hood. If it's blown (?) replace it and disconnect the Fuel Heater, on the fuel filter housing... then try to start it. IF it starts, the fuel heater element has shorted. (kinda common on these 7.3s)
With the current temps you won't need the fuel heater but.. when you Do replace it.. get a >REAL< element.. from IH ? yer call.

(fuse # 22 also protects other fuel related things that has to do with wether yer truck will start/run, or not)

Sorry about gettin back to what I started here.I'm driving a 2000 4x4 f-250 7.3 di manual.I have checked all the fuses in the cab and under the hood and still just cranks and no start

I have a wait to start light, but no smoke while cranking
from here, it needs a scan tool that reads the data stream hooked up to it.
I/we need to know if it has an injector pulse width and whether or not it's reading the "new" CPS...
one thing..
was it raining when it quit?
