Sounds like everybody has you on the right page. But why do you want to go with a 3" down pipe. I have a full 4" all the way to the Y-pipe and out 6" stacks. Just my $0.02

If he's an OBS truck then that's what will fit without firewall modifications (there are some that expand to larger tubing after the firewall pinch weld where there is more room. For us the biggest gain is to get rid of the flattened downpipe that comes from the factory.
