I can not figer out whats going on here. :dizzy I'm losing mileage fast. I was getting 16.9 mpg city and it keep dropping now down to 15.4 mpg city. I drive the same way everyday, nothing changed. Theres no codes. The only thing I did pick up on today is then you are moving and I punch it, it seems to get up and go but not like it use to. Kind of lagging in the get up and go area and theres no black smoke. Fuel filter have been changed. Maybe a fuel pump starting to go out? I'm just shy of 90K in mileage.

The fuel pump is the HPOP and it is driven by the High Pressure Oil Pump. You would have other problems first, like hard starting or rough running. Did you look at your air filter?

Off the top ? I'd say Filtration. You could have gotten a Slug of dirty fuel. Like.. Maybe you bought fuel shortly after a station received a delivery and the sediments were stirred up ??

You might start with changing the filters, then go from there ?

Air filter next.

Air filter clean? How about the egr? Need cleaning? Got a brake caliper hanging? E-brake slightly sticking? BTW, the lie-ometer isn't very accurate. Hope this is hand calculated.

check the OIL level...is it "over filled" ? <could be injector leak-age into the oil pan>

Black smoke and no power? EGR. Do you idle you truck alot?

Lately there has been a lot of poor quality fuel creating more EGR issues also. Any DTC codes?

Sorry I have been out of it. Had to have 3 of 5 dogs put down. One lost it's mind, the other two busted out of the yard. Hunted down a lady that would harassed my dogs with here little dog and bit the little dog, then gave a guy a heart attack by jumping his leaf blower. To the truck now brakes are good, Air filter is clean, no Black smoke, Fuel filters are good, EGR I'll check this week end.

Wow dude, yeah, that's a bad week alright. Have you looked at your u-joints? could have one starting to go dry, or maybe a carrier bearing if you're an extended wheelbase. I'd expect vibration but never can tell...

Well the truck would not run at all Thursday, so it went to the dealer and they found 2 Inj. were bad and had to replace them, they replaced the high presser pump, cleaned the fuel system and the other 6 Inj., cleaned the EGR and other things.

Then they wanted to change all fluids. I pop a nut on what I'm going to tell you.
trans. serv. $140 :whah
coolant serv. $140
P/S flush $100 :rant
brake fluid change $100 :censored:
T-case fluid change $110 :smack
frt diff serv. $170 :backoff
rear diff serv. $170 :backoff

shop junk charges $25 :lmao
tax. $67

total $1022 :dh

I told the service manager it will be a cold day in hell before I pay that much for fluid change.
