All of the powerstrokes in my family (but one) has been straight piped. But if you have the money go ahead and upgrade to a bigger straight pipe with a 4" down pipe

4" straight pipe isn't really loud, so it shouldn't pizz off the neighbors.

It helps let the neighbors know when you are coming and going. Especialy when you leave for work early in the morning.

By how much? If you have a 4 in MBRP, for instance, how much help will it be to replace that muffler with a straight pipe?

The word LOUDER on my truck is a understatement....LOL I have a 4" down and 5" all the way to the back. No cat. no muff. all pipe.
