I want to get my stock muffler and take it off and replace it with a peice of pipe. What size replacement pipe do i need? Will it be legal? Could it hurt my truck?

visit itp diesel's site, they have the pipes precut and inlarged on both ends to slip over your exhaust nicely, i'm pretty sure they have em for stock size exhaust also.

Will deleting the Cat and running a straight pipe give you any noticable power gains. Mainly take away some of that lag...

You will notice something, but the lag is not caused by the CAT. It is caused by the time it takes for the turbo to spool up and provide boost. It is not an instant-on thing.

didn`t notice a big power increase, but the turbo does spool quicker(according to boost guage) and did notice an increase in the MPG department....almost 2MPG increase...:thumbs ....hope this helps
