Im not quite sure im following you but if you only need to remove the fuel lines there is a tool for that. The one I use is made by AST. They are not the only ones that make it so you may have luck at an auto parts store. Basically it is an aluminum tool that goes over the steel line and slides inside of the quick connector to disengage the spring. It is called a Ford fuel line disconnect tool. Do NOT try to use a plastic version of this tool. They are made for garter spring connectors like the ones found on the AC system. They will get stuck in the fuel line connector and destroy the tool and the line.
