Now that I filled up with B20 I have very erratic fuel pressure!:( It started after I left the station and was not doing it on the way.

My gauge is still the "dry" gauge and is dropping sometimes as much as 5 lbs. It's bouncing up and down almost all the time. When I take off it will spike down 5 lbs easily, recover then spike around, smooth out etc. Only time it doesn't is if I'm coasting with no throttle. Even idling its spiking around. No air going through the Dahl. Doesn't stumble or anything.:dunno

Think it's my weak pump showing signs of going?

TIA!-popcorn

The bio fuel acts like a cleanser, I wonder if you didnt clean some gunk out of your system and now you are seeing more "true" fuel pressure readings?

I thought about the solvent traits of the bio, but it's hard to believe thats the cause of what's going on.:dunno Maybe I'll get a short video of it.

I'd take my FPR apart but it's 9 degrees right now with a wind chill of -1.:crumm

Ours is minus 15 with a windchill of minus 42. I think ------> :crumm has something to do with this.

I'm not quite sure, but my fuel pump might be going or gone also. Just out of curiousity, how quickly should the pump refill the fuel filter housing?

Seems like I recall the pump being rated around 30 + GPH............

Good 'n chilly hear also...........gelled fuel would be cloudy looking, right? The fuel that trickled into the fuel filter housing wiht the key on was nice and crystal clear.........

No way to check fuel pressure right.......need to get that stuff rounded up.:dunno

-10*F when I started the truck this morning.............ran good for 30 miles then died...............

I think it should more than trickle. I usually get pressure on the first key on after changing filters. You can hear the fuel filling the filter housing.

Do you still have the stock fuel pick up? If you have removed the mixing valve your fuel lines may have gelled up. When I asked Bob about when to run the heater on my Dahl, he said he's been told by customers that they gelled in low 20 degree weather in a traffic jam with high winds making the wind chill worst. Is there a waxy substance on the fuel filter?:dunno

Nope, no sign of wax anywhere.........also, I usually run a double slug of Power Services (white bottle) during the winter months, just for added protection against gelling.

Also, I did several key on (10-15 seconds) key off cycle and still didn't get a filter bowl full of fuel.........

You definitely have fuel supply problems. I would remove the hose from the pressure side of the pump, connect a hose and see how many gallons it will pump in a minute. :dunno
