Steve Jobs, one of the founders of Apple Computer, died yesterday of pancreatic cancer, that he had been fighting for two years. All of us in Silicon Valley will miss him and his inventions.

I have a house full of Macintosh computers, from the first version of the iMac to several desktop models, and the entire family has MacBooks and iPhones. The man was a genius. And to hear his neighbors talk about him on NPR, he never let his success go to his head. He lived in a modest house, his kids played soccer for the neighborhood team, and he could be seen at CVS standing in a checkout line like the rest of us common folk.

R.I.P. Steve Jobs. You will be missed.

Never had a Mac, but we sure do like our Iphones.
He was born out of wedlock, giving up for adoption.
He is proof that every kids need a chance.

I also heard that his mother considered an abortion. Thank God she gave him up for adoption.
Doug, I hear ya on the iPhone. We didn't have an iPhone until the kids got them for us a couple of years ago. Now, we don't know what we'd do without them.
