I need help! My steering is all over the road. I have to hold the steering wheel 1/3 of that ways to the left to keep it straight down the road. I have a 8" lift and all the tie rods, pitman arm and drag links are still stock. could that be my problem or is more like the steering box?

Put it on the rack to check the drag link and tie rods. When you did your lift you installed a sufficient drop bracket for the track bar? Could be the steering box gearing box has play in it as well.

I've done a drag link, adjusted the steering box and installed an adjustable track bar at 45,000 miles.

Welcome aboard as well Stroker :welcome3

When driving down the road hold the steering wheel tight. If the truck drifts out of lane and you have play in the wheel without the steering response then I'd say your steering box is bad. It can be tightened, but if worn the adjustment won't hold for long.

i just had the same sounding problem fixed on my truck. i had to replace the drag link and the power steering pump. i tigthened up the steering pump using the adjustment on top a few days before i took my truck in to get serviced. it only held for about a day of driving. you may want to try to tigthen up the the p/s pump first and see if it holds. look under the truck and see if you can twist the drag link. i could on mine before i had it replaced. hope this helps

I replaced the drag link, and put in new front springs with new bushings.
Tightened steering box.
Still have the problem.
Today I am installing new ball joints.
Hope this works
