Ok, I decided I couldn't take the squeaking anymore and took it to a trusted front end mechanic. I really thought the squeaking was coming from the column, but he found otherwise. It seems the sealed ball joint and sealed drive joint were both shot on the left front, as he showed me what they look like when they begin to degrade, signs of rust and loose. Few hrs later and out of the shop the squeak is gone and the handling is even better. For anyone else going through the same, I thought this might help. By the way I’m not an advocate of the sealed joints, so I requested the serviceable joints, so I can manage them myself. Thanks to all who responded.
