Just had the EGR Cooler and Oil cooler replaced.. Get the truck back and have delayed start.. The say it is attributed to warn out STC fittings. Can I in anyway attribute STC fitting problem to EGR/Oil Cooler work?
Just exactly how do they know it is the stc fitting?? how do they assume it is worn? you cannot see it unless tou have the hpop cover off that is located under the egr cooler
the turbo the injector and engine wireing harness'. As far as related to egr/oil coller issue
I would say you dont have a case. Not to rub salt in your wound, i sell my customers a new fitting especially when i am doing a erg/oil cooler replacement. I mean, it's right there
hiding under the cover and only takes another hour or a little more to swap it.
I never knew about that part, it's function, or possible issues, but when I had the same procedure as you, my mechanic insisted on replacement for preventive maintenance and longevity.
