I will price a GPR. Wonder if I should just test my gpr before i go throwin parts at it? This truck has over 256k on it now and i dont know if the gpr or glow plugs have been replaced yet or not. I imagine the gp's have been replaced already? would they last that long?

If it were me, i would put some glow plugs in it also. If you don't know when they were done last, they may be overdue. You don't wanna go to long or you won't be able to get them out without braking the tips off in the cylinder. That equals a baaaad day wrenching!

d00d-you are getting hosed by those guys. $25 is list. my local dealer charged $15 each for them. not bad considering powerstroke shop wants $13/each for them. shop around!

Luckily I got an IH dealer right next door to our dealership. I will check with Ford too. Do the motorcraft gp's break off often in these trucks?
