hey gang, Bad news is my starter went out on me today. No warning or anything, got in the truck to move it and *click* so I got it kick started and had it running for 4-5 hrs straight(thank good ness for the hi-idle on the chip). I got a newer style starter ('01+ I believe), which is the higher output, and man does that thing turn over now! Just thought I'd let you all know that if you need a starter to get the newer one cause it is smaller and more powerful

I heard the contrary. The starter and generator shop here in Trenton hardly ever puts them in anymore. All the guys that plow came in last winter asking for the old style. I particularly like the way my 95 starts rather than my 01. just what i heard.

My '93 would go thru starters every two years. Just kept changng them. I did not use rebuilt ones for the first two times I changed it. Then I did, but I did not notice any difference.
