This message was posted on the "2Cool Fishing" web site. Is this true for a 1999 F250 7.3 L 'stroke?

I was told if you run a deisel out of fuel you are in for a big problem, not just putting the fuel back to it.

Not really true anymore, if you just turn the key to "ON" for about 10 seconds then turn it "OFF" and repeat about 3 times it will crank right up. Not sure if you do your own maintenance but you have to do this procedure when you change your fuel filters, mainly because of the underbody filter."

On the 7.3L's whenever you drain down the fuel filter partially or fully it typically takes a few cycles to purge remaining air out.
