when i'm driving down the road i can hear this high pitched sound coming from the front end. i have to be going around 50-60 mph before i can hear it and it's only when i turn the wheel a little bit to the left. if i turn it more to the left or turn it right it will quit. so it's only at 1 place in the wheel. what could be causing this??? thanks guys!!!

i agree w/ wheel bearings as a possible cause. I know this is a stupid question, but are your hubs locked in? if you cant find the noise, Spray wd40 on your suspension connections, couple at a time and test drive to see if it goes away. does it pull? maybe a brake caliper hanging up?

my truck is a 2wd, so no the hubs aren't locked. the truck pulls a tiny bit to the right over a length of about 150 ft. driving 50mph, but the sound is on the driver's side. it cannot be heard on the passenger side.:dunno . i will put the truck up on a lift on monday and check wheel bearings and brakes.
