I've always heard that Line-x is the best with Rhino being a close second.

I have heard the same thing... I thought a while back ... like a year or so ago, that Line-x was being tested as a coating on walls of basements or something to help protect against problems.... I don't remember what it was all about... just that their product was very good...

I have a Rhino spray in liner.. Its pretty good.. not so sticky that things can't slide across it.. My BIL has a liner that a body shop did for him... it's so thin that if you drag anything in the bed that it comes off.. and it's already flaking off... The key to any of them is the prep work. Bad prep work shows up sooner or later.

If you're thinking about getting your tailgate done then the handle bolts and those that hold the alum cover you just replaced are also on the list.
I have a full aluminum cover on the inside of the tailgate so it wont be getting coated. I do have a recessed pop-up gooseneck ball in the bed, not real sure what to do with it. I suppose just spray up to the edge of it.

OK ... I found what it was that I had heard...

That stuff sounds like some tuff stuff
“The dummy in the Line-X protected room was unscathed,” said Alan Perryman, EMRTC’s Research Engineer and Test Specialist. “A little dust kicked up, and the wall flexed and pounded like a giant drum, but everything held up just fine. We at EMRTC are very impressed with the way the Line-X protected room held up.”
The unprotected room was devastated. The blast destroyed the entire wall and tore apart the crash test dummy. “If there were people in this room, there certainly would have been fatalities,” said Perryman.

Line-X , better known for its Line-X Spray-On Truck Bedliners, recently applied this special anti-terror formulation to the walls of the U.S. Pentagon, the Washington D.C. Naval Base and the Federal Courthouse in New York City. If it is good enough for the pentagon I suppose it would be good enough for my truck :cowboy:

I had Line-X spray in a liner to replace the plastic liner the previous owner had installed in the truck when it was new. Its extremely tough. Last week I was helping out a friend by taking a load of 4 X 8 plywood to his house. We had to be careful with the plywood edges....the Line-X was so tough and abrasive it would scuff the wood if we pulled it out too quickly. I continue to be impressed with this coating.

My dealer pulls the bolts holding the bed and also the bolts to the tailgate access panel before spraying the liner in. It is a standard procedure with him.
