Announcement Speedometer not working

Just getting started on this sight. Looks like a good one. I already have a question. Speedo quits from time to time. No pattern. 0 degrees up to 35. It will freeze say at 45 mph after you stop at a lite,if you speed up 40 mph it will read 85. Sometimes it resets after a long while. Local dealer has no answer. Only does this in winter time. It had a loud whine one time in cab. Thanks.

There is a speed sensor on top of the rear differential with a couple of wires on it. That is probably the bad part. They have been known to go out.

Dealer replaced instrament panel/dash and everything works so far. All under warranty.
