speedometer needle bouncing ???

My speedo "bounces" about 3mph at about 2 strokes per second from about 50mph-70mph. sometimes its more noticable, other times its totally steady. no other issues have come to my attention, and i havent looked at anything yet, but i was wondering if anyone had see/heard of this.

Your VSS is probably dirty. Might be a good time to take the diff cover off and change the fluid and inspect the VSS. Its located in the top of the rear differential. I believe you can also unplug it and pull it out too if you dont want to change the fluid in the rear end. But there are probably fine metal flakes in there which is the root of the problem, if in fact that is the problem.

thats what i was thinking. i am WAY overdue for servicing my axles. ill get around to it in the next year or so.

You might want to do it sooner. Bad things can happen.
