i was living in orlando for a year and happened to be there for the first launch after the crash. needless to say i skipped school that day and drove out to that side of the state for the day, SOO MANY PEOPLE it was awsome, everyone was there for a good time, had the local old times radio club behind us broadcasting some of the nasa communications, had a BBQ in the back of my 97 it was cool, lemme see if i can dig up some pictures..

we get to see the missile launches from Vandenberg, but nothing in comparrison to a shuttle i'm sure
