Was talking to the FEDX guy and asked about fuel cost for him and his truck. Being he's self employed by fedx. Well he's paying 1.28 per gal. on diesel thats his cost. He showed me the ticket and thats what it said 1.28per gal.

No. he didn't care, it's cheep. I'm stumped on this. They buying it by the ship load? :dunno I most likely a government thing. :dunno

Crude is going for nearly 100 bbl, thats over 2 dollars a gallon PROIR to refining, not sure how fedex is getting it cheaper than crude.

More than likely he gets reimbursed up to a certain amount and the left over is what he actually pays.

I would think it has to do with tax issues and the government not taxing their fuel at all. If not, postage costs would be going up to ridiculous levles just to cover the operating costs. Basically the same idea as farms.
