1 month ago, my 05 F250 would not start. I got to my destination truck ran fine when I shut it off. Went to start the truck and it just turned over. It took about 10 minutes of trying and it finally started. The truck ran rough at idle after that. Sitting at stop light the truck would surge, and seemed to lack power. I made an appt. at Ford dealer, by the time I got the truck in the problem had subsided. There was never a check engine light on. Dealer replaced an injector and road tested, but could not replicate problem. I picked truck up.
Less than 500 miles since leaving dealership, and 125 miles from home, truck will not start. Ran fine when I shut it off. The truck would just crank and crank with no sign of even trying to start, not even a spit or sputter. I ran the batteries low trying to start, yes I was MAD. A local dealership towed me in and gave me a rental. They were backed up 3 days. I get a call in 3 days and truck is running fine. Started right up and road tested. So I picked up the truck.
Today truck starts loosing power and idle surging. I would have gone to a dealership, but it was 6pm and I was far from home. I new if I shut it off it would not start. I backed in my driveway (easiest for tow truck) shut off and tryed to restart. I will not start. Just turns over and over and over. Does not even try to start.
Please help me. Truck has 50,000 miles. I want to call Ford and ask them if there is a dealership that has real mechanics (the kind that does not rely on there computers alone, but will actually get there hands dirty trying to help a customer) Thanks for listening, Mike-mad -mad -mad
